TONA is not a Homeowners Association

It’s been over 2 months since the Solare quiet title suit trial and as of yet no verdict has been delivered. I’ll report it as soon as it happens. In the meantime, I’m going to respond to a something posted on the Tres Orejas Bulletin board, a cardboard sign saying: NO HOA. I know how rumors spread in our community and things get distorted but one thing I can state with no hesitation is that TONA is not a homeowners association. It is a neighborhood and community association. It has a clause in its charter that specifically forbids it from imposing restrictions and covenants on properties in our communities. I insisted that that be put in the charter as an anti HOA clause so nobody got any bright ideas about telling anyone else what they could or couldn’t do with their property through the TONA. We are concerned with land grabs and squatting on the Great Southwestern lots and would like to work with the county to prevent that from happening but these are lots that effectively belong to nobody and keeping the larger pieces of them undeveloped will contribute to the quality of life in Tres Orejas. The newly resurrected TONA is our neighborhood association and it is composed of people who are are truly concerned about our community. It still has some growing pains to go through but it is definitely not a homeowners association.

Anyone from the community who wants to attend a TONA meeting is welcome to come. The next one is February 4th at 5pm at Ruth Fahrbach’s house on 129 Sunset Bvld.
